Dietary Aide

The primary function of Dietary Aides at Beacon Ridge is to assist the cook in meal preparation and services in accordance with all regulations and guidelines. Work with the dining team to ensure that the nutritional needs of residents are met and that the department is maintained in a clean, safe and comfortable manner.

Beacon currently has opportunities for FULL TIME and PART TIME Dietary Aides for 8-HOUR SHIFTS with varying starts times between 5:30AM to 11:30AM. Availability is required on weekends and holidays.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $11.00 per hour

TOP AREAS OF FOCUS FOR OUR DIETARY AIDE

  • Responsible for minor preparation of food, including but not limited to portion control, quality control through standardized recipes and temperature control.

  • Works on the tray-line, serving desserts, salads, beverages or tray set-up.

  • Sets up the dining room tables with complete individual place settings for each meal and in an attractive manner.

  • Delivers food carts to the dining room(s) and/or nursing station(s).

  • Assists nursing staff with distribution in the dining room as directed.

  • Prepares in-between meal nourishments and delivers to the nursing station(s).

  • Cleaning responsibilities as assigned by the Dietary Services Director.

  • Responsible for sanitary maintenance of food storage areas, equipment and work surfaces, using approved sanitizing solutions.

  • Maintains confidentiality of information.

  • Represents the facility in a positive manner.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to walk and sit for extended periods of time. Moves intermittently throughout the workday. Works in and around all areas of the facility. Full physical requirements can be provided.
